A Case of Fibrosarcoma

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of fibrosarcoma developed in medical aspect of the upper eed of the right tibia is reported.
The case was a 22 year old male who complained a palpable mass and pain over the medial aspect of the right knee that worse at night since 6 months prior to admission.
Roentogenological study was revealed a han egg sized mass and. destruction involving of medial aspect of th cortex of the right proximal tibia with Codman´s triangle at the upper and lower periostial region associated with osteolytic change.
Under satisfactory spinal anesthesia, the biopsy was performed after applied double tourniquets and 3, 0X2.5X2.0 cm, sized specimen was obtained.
The consistency of the tumor mass showed like somewhat hard but fragile with white-grayish coloared and marble.
The diagnosis of fibrosarcoma was comformed by microscopic examination, therefore amputation was performed at the above level of the applied tourniquet of the right midithigh.
